Visit Gents located next door. Gents shares the same owners as Bridal Suite, providing the utmost care to your groom and groomsmen.
Gents has the best price around and guarantees your wedding day is seamless and stress-free. Your groom and groomsmen will receive 10% off their tux since you were a Bridal Suite bride!
We do not have an in-house seamstress. We refer out for a seamstress, meaning the bride is fully responsible for setting up the seamstress’s appointments and paying for those alterations.
When it is time to begin your alterations, contact the seamstress directly-do not go through us.
These are seamstresses we recommend, but do not require. You are welcome to use a different seamstress. Do this at your own risk. We have used these seamstresses many times, and they are always satisfactory. If you go somewhere else, they may not be able to deliver the same quality alterations.

Almost every bride will need a hem to shorten the front of their dress. Most brides will also need a bustle, meaning the seamstress will make the train attach to the dress to keep it out of the way for your reception! A bride does not need a bustle only when they are changing into something else for the reception.
Other alterations will depend on your dress, such as adjusting the straps, taking in the bust, lining the bodice, etc. Check with your consultant if you have any uncertainty on what alterations will be needed, but the seamstress will be the best point of reference.
Reminder: The more alterations needed, the more time the seamstress will need to alter the dress.
The seamstress will prefer to work on your dress 2- 3 months before the wedding. If you do not take your dress to the seamstress 2-3 months beforehand, they may not have availability to work on it. If they do have availability, they possibly will still charge a rush fee for anything under 6 weeks.
The more time you give the seamstress, the better. As soon as you purchase your dress, schedule an appointment to ensure availability.
If you have a close wedding date, do not lose hope! You may need to contact multiple seamstresses to see their availability.
Because Bridal Suite refers out for seamstress, we take no liability if there are any issues with the alterations. We are not responsible if the seamstress does not have availability based off your timeline.
If you have any questions on the specific alterations you may need, ask your consultant at your appointment. If you have any other questions or concerns, please ask the seamstress you are using.
Reminder: Bring the exact shoes, or shoes with the same heel size, when you go to the seamstress so she can know how much of a hem you will need.
Thank you for being a Bridal Suite Bride!
We wish you the best of luck on your alterations journey! Remember to bring your dress back a week before the wedding to get steamed!
